There are many ways to conserve energy. We can carpool to work, turn lights off when we are not in the room, we can make sure we buy all energy efficient appliances and products for our homes and offices. But the thing that probably you have never though of is make sure your house itself is energy efficient.

Place your hand along the sides of the window or on the windowsill, if it feels cold to you, you have a drafty window. That may be a huge part of why you keep turning up the heat in the wintertime. You may caulk it or put some kind of weather sealer on but that is just putting a band-aid on it.
